Step 1: Purchase your canvas at a crafts store.

There is a variety of quality and texture. It should be designed for use with an inkjet printer.A work of art is the same as something you would buy.UV resistant canvas can be used for important works of art.

Step 2: You can buy art prints through the internet.

You can check out art supply stores, galleries and museum stores. You can get a fine art file for your canvas print.Images saved or scanned will be printed on canvas. Before making your final decision, make sure the file has good clarity and contrast.

Step 3: Alternatively, use a photo from your computer.

Windows Photo and Fax Viewer can be opened on a PC.Go to "Printing Options" to choose the right document or image from within the program. There are choices from wallet size to full-page photos.Set your printer as well."Application" can be found on a Mac.If you don't want the graphic file to be the way you want it, you can change it.

Step 4: Decide what size picture you want.

To get a feel for the final product, run a trial copy on plain paper. If you turn your canvas into a canvas print, you may want a border on all sides.Depending on the size of your canvas and how much of a 3D effect you're going for, a border of 1 1/2" (3.75 cm) on all sides is a good amount.

Step 5: You can use the rear manual feed slot.

This is the best option for canvas. It is capable of border-less printing and uses the entire area of each sheet. One of the ones lying on top is not the feed on the back of your printer. It can handle thicker sheets.

Step 6: You can add leader strips to your painting.

The canvas will be fed into the printer by a small strip of paper. It needs to run the entire width of the paper. You'll need two strips of paper if you have a large sheet of canvas. Each strip of paper should be about 2.5 cm wide.Use a pair of scissors to cut it straight. The back of the canvas is where the paper will feed into the printer. If they aren't flush against the canvas sheet, the paper will feed in at an angle.

Step 7: If you have a new computer, recente your document on it.

Click on the image pull-down menu and choose "Canvas Size."You can add an extra inch to the bottom by opening your "Print Settings" box.Let's say you have a sheet of canvas that you want to fill completely. You now have 14 inches at the bottom. If you're not using the whole thing, add the extra inch.If you have an "anchoring" option, use it.Click the bottom center anchor to add space to any size of your file.Again, set it at one.

Step 8: The canvas should be put into the printer.

If the paper prints face up, insert the leader side first.Make sure it's going straight.Make sure your printer is turned on, there's enough ink in the colors you need.

Step 9: You should set your feed.

"Rear manual" isn't the default setting on your computer.Make sure your printer feeds correctly. If possible, set the width of the paper as well and adjust the color and gradient.Make sure the width and height of the picture are set up correctly by going into "User Details"Check your borders as well.

Step 10: The artwork can be printed.

The canvas should be completely dry before you handle it.You can wrap the piece around a box frame or other support to create a stretched canvas.
