There is a problem with the power button on my tv.

The tv keeps blinking on and off.It isn't the power supply.Any other suggestions? It's only 2 years.

If you say that it's not the power supply, you must have tested the rails or tried a replacement board.

There may be a problem with the strips.I don't know if the backlight power comes from the power board or a separate board. When the back lighting goes off, it's hard to tell if the display is still there. It's just a thought.

What keeps blinking on and off? What about the powerLED?What about the display itself? What did you check? What did you do to check?

The display is on and off.I replaced the power supply that I ordered.Still flashing.

It sounds like you need a service manual. It was the first step in repairing a television before the days of replaceable circuit boards. There is a smell. It is possible to smell a burned component. You can always use a plastic probe to poke around on the printed circuit board if the unit is on.That could show a cold solder joint. It has worked for me many times before. It should be easy to fix a bad solder connection if it is not on a multi-layer board.Multi-layer boards can rarely be repaired. You can find new boards online, but be sure to match them.A new TV might be the only solution if something goes wrong with the driver circuit.

If your screen does something in spite of the new power board which includes the backlight circuitry like this, there will be an error with the LEDs.Since you will have to dismantle the panel, these are not easy to replace. We can find the right strips for you if you post your panel number, not the TV's model number. The numbers are on a label.

I have to remove the power cord from the wall in order to connect it again. After not being used for a few days, it doesn't happen often. Will need to change the video settings.

An update. The issue is resolved after I toggled several settings on the TV.I don't know which change corrected the issue, but there were no issues after.

It used to happen to my 55” at just after midnight. The technicians remotely turned off the timer, but I did it myself.I plugged the TV into the mains after I disconnected my voltage stabilising device.Problem solved.I have plugged a multi plug tripper.

I have the same problem. We have tried a lot of things to get my tv to work.We waited all night. How do you fix it?This model and the same problem are related.

You said it's not the power supply.Does that mean you've taken the back off?Is the power supply built in or is it external? Can you identify a relay that clicks when it powers on if you have opened the TV unit?As it powers on, hold a small rare earth magnet near the relay.Don't touch anything, hold the magnet near any integrated circuit chips, and be careful not to touch it.The relay coil can get weak. The unit will remain on even after the magnet is taken away if the magnetic field is boosted near the relay. The relay is bad if that works.

A new power supply board was ordered by me.It's a plug and play.Didn't fix it.I don't know if the back light is worth repairing.

I laid down to sleep. Can someone tell me what happened when I turned my tv off?Tyia.

I blacked in and out with no pattern. It only happens with the service from Xfinity where I have a box attached to it.There were no issues with Netfllix and Amazon through my internet service. All seems to be okay now that the HDMI cable has been changed.I think it has to do with the connection.Cross your fingers to change the cable.

It makes sense to start with those items since electronic circuits tend to draw the most current and run hotter. The back light panel is inLED flat screens.

I have found the best way to diagnose a back light problem is to place the Tv in a dark room and turn it on in the set up menu, and use a bright flash light to see if one can observe the setup screen.

You will be able to see the text, even though it is very dim.The test is called the flash light test. The information is being sent to the display. The signal to the display can be viewed in normal operation if the back light is not working.

The back lights are mounted on a strip.A flat screen feels warm to the touch because it draws a good amount of DC Current.

Changing the back light strips is not an operation for the faint of heart. The display needs to be preformed in a clean environment and not damaged in the process of being disassembled, as any dust that gets trapped between the layers will be visible all the time the display is on, assuming your successful getting it to light up.

With the sell price of new flat screens tv coming down, 32 in 720 P Insignia Brand At Walmart on line this morning is $90.I left the field in 1978 because the repair shop couldn't pay him on a descent hourly basis.!

If the dead flat screen is not your main thing to do, then you should go to Tv and have a place where you can leave a screen for a long period of time for the container ship to come from China to Long Beach Ca.Your best friend is on You Tube.

I have an old school chinese display with a power supply that works great, but when I press the power button on it, the small blue leds on the screen turn off.

I replaced the power supply board before I had a problem with my tv.

HiDrOid stated that it isn't the power supply board that is important. It is possible that it is a faulty External power supply.I know it's late. This is for anyone looking for solutions in the future. That's how I got a 42" monitor. One day the TV didn't turn on so my customer just bought a new one and told me to take the old one.It needed a new power supply. It's not hard to imagine a television being hard on a transformer.A constant demand for the current rating.

Check the cords. If there is a hardware or connection issue, replace the tv with a good one.

I took the batteries out of my remotes that are connected to the TV and it solved the problem.

I had a similar problem when the TV was 8 years old.It was all fixed when the Eco mode was turned off.
