There is a wall without nails.

There are intricate details and colors in the hanging fabric on your wall.Although it may seem like an easy solution, using nails to hang fabric can cause damage to both your fabric piece and your walls, so you may be looking for an alternative.Try using clothespins for a more decorative option, or a curtain rod and hooks for heavy-duty fabric pieces. You can put your fabric on your wall in a single afternoon with these simple solutions. Step 1: Place your fabric on the flat surface. Pick a dry surface that is large enough to hold your fabric.Make sure your fabric is flat. Step 2: The back of the strips need to be removed. There are two sticky sides to the strips that attach the wall and fabric.Take off the backs of the strips. If you have a small piece of fabric, you may only need a few pieces. Step 3: Attach your strips to the fabric. Attach the strips horizontally along the top of the fabric from one corner to the other.Make sure the top 2 corners have a strip. Step 4: Attach the strips to your wall. Make your strips sticky by removing the second backing from them.Attach one end of your fabric to the wall.Attach each strip of velcro to your wall by working along the width of the fabric.Attach more velcro strips in the middle of your fabric if it's sagging. Step 5: You can measure the width of the fabric on the wall. Take your fabric up to the wall and mark it with a pencil.Look at each side of the fabric to make sure it is in a straight line.To make this easier, have a friend hold up your fabric. Step 6: Attach the strip to the back of the clothespins. Remove the backing from the fabric.Attach a strip to the back of your clothespins.Cut off the excess if the strip is longer than the clothespin.Depending on how long your fabric is, the amount of clothespins you need will vary. You can use normal sized clothespins for larger pieces of fabric. Step 7: Stick your clothespins in a line on the wall. The outer part is sticky if you peel off the other backing. You can put a clothespin on the wall.Continue until you reach your second mark by following the marks you made on the wall. The clothespins should be 6 inches apart. If your fabric is light, place your clothespins about 3 inches apart. Step 8: Attach the top of your fabric to the clothespins. Put one corner into the first clothespin.Continue until your fabric is secure.Make sure the fabric is tight between the clothespins. Step 9: Measure the width of your curtain rod and mark it on the wall. To find out how wide your curtain rod is, use a tape measure.Measure out where your curtain rod will hang with 2 marks on your wall.Look at each side of the wall at a time to make sure the marks are in line.If you want to have a headboard look, you can hang your fabric above your bed.A thicker curtain rod is better for larger pieces of fabric. If you are hanging a heavy piece of fabric, make sure you check the box to see how much weight your curtain rod can hold. Step 10: Attach hooks to the marks. Stick the backings of your hooks onto the wall with your pencil marks. They should be lined up with each other and sitting on the wall. Most home goods and hardware stores have hooks with backing. If you want a more permanent solution, you can use the hardware that came with your curtain rod. This will cause holes in your walls. Step 11: The curtain rod can be Threaded through the back pocket of your fabric. Push the curtain rod through the pocket on the fabric.Push the rod all the way through the fabric. You can thread your curtain rod through loops on the back of your fabric. Step 12: The curtain rod needs to be balanced between the hooks. The curtain rod should be placed on either hook.Make sure the curtain rod is tucked into the hooks. If you need to center the fabric, move it around on the rod.Your hooks may not be in a straight line if your fabric slides to one side.
