Brainstorming is a process of creating and fleshing out ideas so that you can solve problems and increase productivity.Sometimes you have to come up with your ideas on your own.You can use creative activities to generate ideas.If you already have some ideas, you can arrange them so that they are more cohesive.You can overcome the mental blocks that come with brainstorming.
Step 1: Write down your problems and goals.
Write down what you want to achieve in the Microsoft Word document at the top of the sheet of paper.This will help you focus.You might want to list a few objectives.If you want to find a new career, write a short story or start a flower garden, your goals may be very vague.
Step 2: Do word associations.
Think of your problem as a central idea.Take a few words and write them down.Write down any words that you think are related.No matter how silly or strange the words are, write them down.You can write down the names of the novels you read in class if you are writing a paper for English class.You can write down mystery, romance, madwoman, or governess when you think of Jane Eyre.It's possible that the word governess makes you think of strong female character, working women or education.Continue writing until you have a strong idea.You can just write a random word if you don't have a central idea.It's a good idea to put whatever comes into your head first.This works well for creative activities.
Step 3: Write.
Write down your thoughts for fifteen minutes.Don't leave the page until the fifteen minutes are up.This will allow you to begin processing ideas.By the time your fifteen minutes are up, you may have found some new ideas.Writing "I want..." statements after your goal is a good way to start.I want to talk about effective brainstorming.I want the talk to last twenty minutes.I want to talk about how to write.You can start writing naturally when you get ideas.If you think you have nothing to write about, write it down.The goal is to start writing.You will think of new ideas as a result of the process of writing.
Step 4: A list should be drafted.
You can make a list of all the ideas that come to you.You can write this on a piece of paper or a bulleted list.Think of ideas that are silly or stupid.Continue until you have at least fifteen or twenty ideas.You can cross out the ideas you don't like once you are done.
Step 5: Take pictures.
doodling can help you come up with some ideas.A vague idea of your main purpose is what you should start drawing.Use your pen to refine it.sketch it down if you come up with a different idea.As ideas come to you, try to draw pictures.They won't be perfect, but they will help you see where you want to go.You can draw a representation of how you are feeling.What does your mental state look like right now?The shapes that you associate with the ideas you have can be drawn.
Step 6: There are notecards where you can write your ideas down.
Write your ideas down on a notecard.If you want to see your ideas spread out, lay out each notecard facing up on a clean table.It's a good idea to move around ideas in a logical order.Add new cards to fill in gaps if you want to remove cards that are no longer productive.You will be able to visually order your ideas.Keep the cards safe until you are ready to make your ideas reality, then stack them in their proper order.
Step 7: There is a mind map.
In the middle of a sheet of paper, write down your main idea.Take a circle around it.Around the central idea, draw related themes, ideas, or solutions.Write other concepts, thoughts, or word associations next to the smaller ideas.You should connect the ideas with lines.The lines can branch into other circles.Allow your mind map to evolve naturally.
Step 8: Break the problem down into steps.
You may know where you want to go, but you don't know how to get there.Think of the major steps that will help you get to your goal if you are struggling to fill in the gaps.Next, divide the big ideas into smaller tasks.Continue to get more specific in your steps until you have a plan of action.Identifying office waste, educating employees, and investing in clean energy products are some of the things you can do to make your office eco-friendly.You should come up with at least four or five steps for each category.If you want to invest in clean products, you can buy low-flow toilets, install solar panels, and recycle paper.
Step 9: The problem is a cube.
Cubing is a process where you sit down with a general idea and write about it in six different ways.Cubing can help you flesh out weak ideas.Answer each prompt with at least a paragraph and write down the following six headings.Give a description of the problem.Compare it to other situations.The problem should be associated with similar topics.The problem and its solutions should be analyzed.It can be applied to real world situations.Argue for and against it.
Step 10: Go for a stroll.
Walking can help you work through problems.Take a walk outside and think about your ideas.You can either think about your problem or not.Work the ideas out as you walk.If you are still stumbling, you should clear your head and not think about it until you return.
Step 11: Take a break.
After about twenty or thirty minutes, you should stop and do another activity.You can eat, read, or make a phone call.Something will distract you from your session.This will help refresh your mind and give you new ideas when you return to the activity.
Step 12: Don't talk to someone else.
Talking can help you come up with new ideas.You can still talk about your problems if you are alone.Pretend that you are talking to someone.Explain what you need to do to get it done.As you describe your problem, you may be able to find a solution.You can record yourself speaking to save ideas.You can reflect on what you said.
Step 13: Listen to the music.
It is possible to boost the creative process by listening to music before you start.You can choose upbeat music.The music should be turned off when you are ready to start thinking.When listening to music before a task can boost creativity, it can distract you.
