True Compassion is developed.

A good person is someone who is kind, caring, and respectful.People would like to see themselves as compassionate.You may feel like you need to be more compassionate because you feel that you aren't as compassionate as you'd like.Maybe you feel compassionate, but want to show it to yourself or someone else.If you show yourself more compassion, show others compassion and expand your perspective on the world, you will be able to develop true compassion.

Step 1: Practice not being stressed out.

Being aware can help you develop self-compassion.Being aware means focusing your thoughts and senses on what you are doing.Being aware of and accepting your feelings and emotions is the practice.Accepting your feelings will help you be kind to yourself.Instead of multitasking, focus on one thing at a time.You will be able to focus on what you are doing.If you are cooking, focus on that instead of the TV and the report.Think about what you are doing.Make yourself aware of your actions.You could say, "I'm swinging right now."I am pumping my legs and leaning back and forth.Pay attention to your body.You might think to yourself, "I can feel the wind blowing on my face and hear the leaves rustling."I feel great!

Step 2: Be happy.

Studies show that gratitude can help reduce stress.You can be more compassionate to yourself if you are less stressed.You can show compassion to others who don't have as much as you if you are grateful for the good things in your life.Don't forget to keep a gratitude journal.List the things that you are thankful for.They can be small and important to your family.Write down at least one thing you are thankful for.Write down something you are grateful for before you go to sleep.If you want to be grateful for things in your life, look for them.If you are stuck in traffic, remind yourself to be grateful that you own a car.

Step 3: Positive self-talk is good.

If you talk to yourself like you are compassionate, you can develop true compassion.Positive self-talk encourages you to be compassionate.Think kind thoughts about yourself to show yourself compassion.If you notice yourself having negative thoughts about yourself, stop and talk to yourself.You could say to yourself, "I'm not mean."I shouldn't call myself that, I'm a good person and I deserve to be compassionate with myself.I would like to develop my compassion.

Step 4: It's time to forgive yourself.

Everyone has done something and will do it again.When you need to forgive yourself, it's one way to increase self-compassion.You shouldn't beat yourself up because you should definitely learn from your mistakes.Tell yourself that you made a mistake and feel bad about it.I am going to learn from this experience and forgive myself.You can write about the situation in your journal and then make a statement of forgiveness to yourself.You could write, "I forgive myself for what happened last week."It was wrong when I spread it.I will never do that again.

Step 5: You should maintain your health.

Self-compassion isn't just about taking care of your self-esteem and emotions.Taking care of your physical health is also a part of it.You need to develop true compassion towards others if you want to maintain your health.Go to bed and wake up at regular times.Make sure you get at least 6 hours of sleep each night.You should choose healthy foods for your meals and snacks.Whole grains, unprocessed foods, and fresh fruits and vegetables are good choices.Don't drink alcohol, soft drinks, and beverages with added sugars.Substitute an energy drink with a cup of green tea for a fresh taste or add some lemon or mint to your water.Get active.A team sport like softball or volleyball or a group class like taekwondo can add a social element.You could try yoga or tai chi.

Step 6: Take something nice for yourself.

It is possible to show compassion for a friend by doing something nice for them.If you want to develop true self-compassion and compassion for others, do things that make you happy.If you finish a hard week of exams, treat yourself to some pizza and a movie, or hit the social scene with your friends.Every now and then, take the extra time to do something special with your appearance.Change your hairstyle, try a new outfit, or even reward yourself with a brand new shirt.

Step 7: Be a friend to someone.

Extending your friendship is one of the best ways to show compassion.Being loyal and genuine with your friends may be what this means.It may mean befriending someone you don't know, but who could use a friend.Being a friend might mean helping the new employee navigate the building or sitting next to the girl at lunch.Support your friends.During the good times and when they might need a shoulder to lean on, be there for them.

Step 8: You should forgive others.

Forgiveness is a way to show compassion to others.Try to forgive people when they do something that upsets you.This does not mean ignoring it or not speaking up.When someone is sincerely sorry for something that they have done wrong, you should show true compassion and forgive them.You could say something like, "I forgive you for what happened and I appreciate that you cared enough about me to apologize."You can work on forgiveness.

Step 9: You can volunteer.

Developing true compassion can be achieved by giving your time and energy in the service of others.It gives you the chance to make a difference in your community.It can give you a sense of purpose.You can volunteer for a cause at a community event.Some of your family and friends can come with you to help.You can volunteer by talking to your school counselor, community figures, or religious leaders.You could say, "I would like to give back to our temple."Can you suggest something?

Step 10: Don't stay stuck in your world.

You should do things that expose you to different ways of living.The more you know about the cultures and peoples of the world, the easier it will be for you to care for them.Developing a sense of what you have in common with others can help you develop true compassion.You may be able to get a new perspective by talking to organizations and people in your community.You can join the International Student Alliance at your school.Pick a country, lifestyle, or culture that you would like to learn more about.You can read books, watch videos, join meet-ups and online forums.A great way to develop compassion is to read stories about people who are different from you.

Step 11: You need to reverse your roles.

If you try to put yourself in someone else's shoes, you can develop true compassion.It's possible to see how it might feel to live under certain conditions if you put yourself in their position.Think about how you would feel in that situation.Think about how you might feel without shelter if you see a homeless person.Take into account what you might think and what your attitude might be.If you were to imagine what it would be like to be a victim of a bully, you could say, "I would think I was doing something to deserve it and that the bully was making my life awful."

Step 12: Contribute to the development of empathy.

You can begin to understand how someone else feels once you put yourself in their shoes and think about how it might make you feel.It goes hand in hand with developing true compassion.Imagine how someone else would feel about the situation.You might think, "He probably feels embarrassed that he fell in front of everyone."You could say to yourself, "I don't want to say that."It would probably hurt Shannon.
