Anxiety can be caused by a variety of things: stress, genetics, brain chemistry, traumatic events, or environmental factors. Symptoms can be reduced with anti-anxiety medication. But even with medication, people may still experience some anxiety or even panic attacks.2 Oct 2018
Is it normal to feel afraid all the time?
Feeling afraid all the time is a common consequence of frequent stress responses. Anxiety also activates the stress response. Many overly anxious people have a heightened sense of being afraid all the time due to the combination of anxious behavior and the stress it creates.
How do I get rid of constant fear?
- Take time out. It's impossible to think clearly when you're flooded with fear or anxiety.
- Breathe through panic.
- Face your fears.
- Imagine the worst.
- Look at the evidence.
- Don't try to be perfect.
- Visualise a happy place.
- Talk about it.
