What does a bank statement mean?

I paid a cheque in my lloyds account and the same day it was paid out and there was a code correction, what does that mean?I have sold items on eBay.

It takes the bank a day or two to confirm the cheque is OK, but everyone insists that deposits are shown as soon as possible.

US buyers can ask their Card Co. to charge back their money if they use their Credit Card to pay via Paypal.

You will need to check with the branch, but they may be able to post the cheque back.
