A degas mode accelerates the removal of gas contained in cleaning solutions by pulsing, or introducing short breaks in the ultrasonic operating cycle which allows coalesced gas bubbles to rise to the surface and burst. A degassing operation in degas mode usually lasts about 10 minutes, but depends on several factors.
Do you need to degas an ultrasonic cleaner?
The process of removing gases from ultrasonic cleaning machines is called degassing. Any water that comes from a pressurized water supply will naturally contain dissolved gases, and therefore the water will need to be degassed when first dispensed.
How do you Degas water for an ultrasonic cleaner?
To degas the solution, we simply turn the ultrasonic cleaning system on with the new cleaner in the tank without any parts, and run it through a complete cleaning cycle. Adding a little heat, where possible, will speed up the process and remove the gasses more thoroughly and completely.
