How do you attach a Pellon?
- Pin pattern piece to interfacing following grainline arrows and cut.
- Trim seam allowances to 1/4″.
- Place fusible side of Pellon® against wrong side of fabric.
- Pin, then steam-baste along edges with tip of iron.
- Set iron on Low-Permanent Press setting.
Do you wash interfacing before sewing?
Before You Cut! Interfacing should be prewashed in the same way as your fabric. Prewash your interfacing as you do your fabric. How do I use Pellon SF101?
STEP 1: Place fusible side of interfacing on wrong side of fabric. STEP 2: With iron set at MEDIUM heat and using steam, press FIRMLY for full 10 seconds. STEP 3: Repeat, lifting and slightly overlapping iron, until all interfacing is fused. STEP 4: Turn piece over and press from right side of fabric.
