What is the meaning of 'FC Error Code' and 'Check 100' on a Honeywell alarm system?
As you make changes to your thermostat's advanced settings, some of them use codes to indicate the current function.Other digital thermostats don't use codes at all.If you know what codes mean, you can program your thermostat without confusion.The different options are displayed by pressing the up and down arrows.
You can change the first two digits of the year setting with the "0120" code.You can change the last two digits of your thermostat's year setting with the "0130" code.You can change the current month setting on your thermostat with the "0140" code.You can change the current date setting on your thermostat by pressing the arrows until the correct date is displayed.
You can turn your schedule on or off with the "0160" code.You can change the number of daily program periods you can program into your thermostat with the "0540" code.Two periods are allowed in option 2 and option 4 allows four periods.
You can change the setting for your digital thermostat with the "0280" code.After pressing a key, option zero will turn on the digital thermostat's backlight for 45 seconds.When you press a key, the backlight will come to full brightness.
The code "0320" means that you can change the temperature on your thermostat.You can switch between a 12-hour-clock format and a 24 hour clock format with the "0640" code.
Daylight Savings Time settings can be changed with the "0330" code.When you select option 1 or 2, your thermostat will change the time setting to accommodate Daylight Savings Time.The Daylight Savings Time schedule was in effect through 2006The Daylight Savings Time schedule came into effect in 2007.You can set your thermostat to not adjust the time for Daylight Savings Time.
The "0500" code can be used to remind you to change your furnace filter, if you set your digital thermometer to display an alert at a specified interval.Press the up and down arrows to select the option.After various time periods, options 1 through 14 display a reminder.When optional equipment indicates that the furnace filter needs to be changed, the "E" option sets the alert to display automatically.
