Dave's Picks is a series of archive releases of live Grateful Dead music. Generally each release comprises a complete Grateful Dead show. The Dave's Picks releases are only available through Grateful Dead Merchandising as limited editions of 12,000.
Why is it called Dave's picks?
With the conclusion of the Road Trips series, a new set of releases come out 2012 under the Dave's Picks moniker (The name of the series references the Dead's original tape archivist, Dick Latvala, who went from fan to caretaker of the tape Vault and started the Dick's Picks series, which encompassed 36 releases from 10 Jan 2012
