What size propane tank do I need for a 20 kw generator?
Our 20 KW Generac uses about 50 gallons a day under moderate to heavy load. Our book says 2 gallons an hour. I'd go with the 500 gallon tank just because that will only give you a week, realistically, since the tanks can't be filled past about 87% and shouldn't be run down much past 20%.Feb 10, 2014
