What's the difference between a pipe and a tube?

In the manufacturing and processing industries, compressed air is being used more and more.Compared with other energy sources, it has a number of advantages that are fully exploited.

Duraplus Airline has metal-to-ABS special fitting, single and multi-port wall brackets, high-efficiency dropper bends, and blue color-coding for easy identification.

Modern process equipment, pneumatic controls and instrumentation demand a supply of clean, uncontaminated air and this has prompted the development in recent years of more advanced designs of compressors and ancillary equipment.

Duraplus Airline has a high performance co-extruded liner that enhances its mechanical and chemical properties. The high performance of the whole system is ensured by the use of an alloy blend ofABS and liner material.

Industrial compressed air pipe applications where the extremely high- impact resistance and ductility of the material offers some insurance against internal and external shock loadings and site abuse conditions are what Duraplus Abs Air-Line is designed for.Excellent in-service performance and system is ensured by its unique combination ofABS properties.

The pipe will be made from an Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene blend with a co-extruded liner. The fitting will be made from an ABS blend.Material for both pipe and fittings should be designed with a 2 to 1 safety factor for a 30 year lifespan. The pipe and fittings have a fire rating of DIN 4102-B2 and are capable of withstanding a continuous working pressure of 185 psi at 73F (1275 kPa at 23C).When tested in accordance with the method 'A', the material will have an izod impact resistance value of no less than 8.5 ft.lb/in.There is a co-extruded liner in the pipe bore.

IPEX will manufacture and design pipes in metric sizes that comply with the requirements of DIN 8062 and ISO 161/1.

The sockets are designed for solvent welding and are supplied by IPEX.The maximum pressure rating of the pipe should be taken into account when designing the fitting. The diameter of the sockets and fittings will decrease from the mouth to the root.

The valve body, stem, ball and unions will be made of Duraplus ABS compound which will meet or exceed the requirements of cell classification.Ball valves will have double-blocking type with 0-ring cushions under the seats, in-line micro adjustment capability, and a spanner wrench in the handle.

Glass reinforced polypropylene (GRPP) will be used in the valve body. The valve disc will be made of the same compound. All butterfly valves will have non wettedstainless steel shafts and a wafer or lug design. The liner will act as a gasket on both sides of the valve, isolating it from the process flow.

Blue Duraplus Air-Line Abs solvent cement is supplied by IPEX.The solvent cement will be able to handle continuous applied pressures up to 185 psi.

The design and installation of ABS pressure systems should be done in accordance with the recommendations in the Handling and Installation section of this manual. All components of the system will be supplied by IPEX.
