How many shells does a Winchester Defender 1300 hold?
The magazine is a connected tube held underneath the barrel. The barrel protrudes ahead of the tube magazine. Some seven shot models can, in fact, hold up to eight rounds when one is chambered, ready to fire, in the receiver - leaving a full eight slugs in the magazine tube.
Is the Winchester 1300 still being made?
Now the 1300 has been discontinued by Winchester (eliminated when the 'heads' of the U.S. Repeating Arms Company also ended the classic Model 1894 from their offerings.) Despite the closing of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company the 1300 is still produced under the name "SXP" (Super X Pump).
