Application form is completed by a passenger, family member, social worker, nurse, clergy, etc., and submitted to Angel Flight Central. AFC Staff and Volunteers qualify each passenger and communicate the need to the Volunteer Pilots. A Medical Release is signed by the physician and returned to the AFC office.
How much is an Angel Flight?
How much does it cost to fly with Angel Flight? There is no cost. Our service is absolutely FREE! We are a non-profit organization with over 1,000 volunteer pilots who provide transportation in their own private or rented aircraft.
Who is eligible for Angel Flight?
Angel Flight requires a pilot to have a current private pilot certificate and valid Basic or Class III medical certificate, as well as be current and proficient in whatever airplane they fly. Because we want all missions to be completed safely, our pilots are in complete charge of the missions they fly.
How is Angel Flight funded?
Angel Flight is funded by private donations from individuals, clubs and service clubs, companies large and small and deceased estates. We have a policy to never follow up donors asking for more money.
