Why did my contacts show up on my mom's phone?

Looks like no one has responded in a while.Ask a new question to start the conversation again.

My mom and I shared an Apple ID for a day or two after I got a new phone.I made my own recently, but I still had my mom's contacts.I deleted all of my mom's contacts as well.I don't know what to do.

She's angry, please help.

When you sync data from multiple devices to the same account, the data appears on all devices.Changes such as deletion of contacts on one device will be made on all other devices sharing the account.Unless you have a backup of your mother's contacts, they are gone.

You have to use a different account on all your devices to prevent this. One of you needs to go to settings and turn on all the data that is in the cloud. To go off. When prompted, keep the data on the phone. After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and then tap the account you want to remove. This will only remove the account from this phone. The other phone will not be affected by this.Next, use a different Apple ID to set up a new account on this phone and then sync it with the cloud. It was back to On.When prompted, choose to do so.The data will be uploaded to this account. You will have two different accounts, one for each phone, with the same data. You don't have to share the same Apple ID for purchasing from the App stores if you use it for other services.

You will have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each account separately, and then manually remove the other person's data from your account. Each phone will reflect these changes. You will have your own data on individual iCloud accounts when they are finished.

If you have the same Apple ID on both your phones, you will need to go to settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at"You will get each other's text messages on your phones as well.
