Why isn't my heat turning on?
If your heating doesn't work as expected after you install the Sensi thermostat, you should proceed through the following steps.
If you've had Sensi installed for a while, and it was previously working well, you may need to refer to a technician to service your equipment.
The power switch on the air handler looks like a light switch.Make sure it's turned on.
The blower compartment door or furnace panel can be loose.Make sure the safety switch is in the cabinet.
At the main home electrical panel, turn off the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment breaker.
Follow the steps below to find out if the issue is related to the thermostat.
You can flip the faceplate over if you pull it off the wall.The front display screen should be blank if the 2 AA alkaline batteries are removed.Push the batteries back on the wall.
Did you take a picture of the wiring?When you install your thermostat, make sure you input the correct terminal labels.
Did your thermostat have terminal labels?You should learn more about terminal labels and be sure to enter the correct terminals for your system type.The table shows what terminal letters mean.
Make sure the wires are firmly connected to the thermostat terminals when you pull it off the sub-base.
Pull on the wires.They should not come out when you tug on them.Attach them back in securely if they do.
