Since its release, this film has been adapted to a live musical, performed on Disney's cruise ships. Some fans are still hoping for a Tangled sequel, though, complete with Rapunzel and her friends in the cast. Unfortunately, Walt Disney Studios are not currently planning a Tangled 2.

Why is Tangled not called Rapunzel?
Rapunzel, the much-loved fairytale, is to be rebranded by Disney because its name is too "gender-specific". The studio's forthcoming version of the Brothers Grimm story will be renamed "Tangled" after market research showed that boys do not like films with girls' names in the title.
