You can conduct presentations without having to use your Internet browser and PowerPoint at the same time, if you add YouTube videos to PowerPoint.The "Insert video" feature can be used to add a video to a presentation, or you can add the video's URL to the Properties area.
Step 1: You can insert the YouTube video into the PowerPoint presentation.
Step 2: You can navigate to the video you want in your presentation by launching your internet browser.
Step 3: Click below the video to share it.
The video's code can be seen on-screen.
Step 4: Click on the video's code to copy.
Step 5: Click on the slide that you want the video to be on to find it.
Step 6: Click on the tab that says "Insert", then click on "Video".
Step 7: The video should be from the Web site.
This will open the dialog box.
Step 8: Click on the text field inside the dialog box and paste.
Step 9: Click on that.
You will be able to use the YouTube video in your presentation.
Step 10: There is a slide in the presentation that you want the video to be on.
Step 11: The control section has a button called " More Options" that you can click.
This will open the dialog box.
Step 12: Click on "OK" after selecting "Shockwave flash object."
A box that can be re-sized to fit a specific video will be displayed on the PowerPoint slide.
Step 13: Click on the box that says "Resizable", then drag to specify where you want the video to be.
Step 14: Click inside the box and chooseProperties.
This will open the menu.
Step 15: You can find the video you want embedded in your presentation by launching your Internet browser.
Step 16: Click on the video's URL to copy it.
Step 17: You can paste the video's URL into the text field next to the movie by clicking back over to PowerPoint.
Step 18: If you want to change the value in the movie field, remove the watch?v=” from the URL.
This will allow the video to be played in your presentation.
Step 19: Click on the "Slide Show" tab if you want to close the properties window.
Step 20: Go to the current slide and play from it.
When you click on the slide, the video will start playing.
Step 21: In Method One of this article, you should install the latest Microsoft Office updates for PowerPoint 2010 if the video from the web site is not listed in the "Video" dropdown menu.
The following error message will be fixed by this step: "PowerPoint cannot insert a video from this embedded code."Go to Microsoft's website and click on the option to download the latest PowerPoint 2010 update.The latest Office updates can be installed using the Windows Update feature.
Step 22: If the "Video from Web site" option is disabled or grayed out, you may want to try installing Adobe's Shockwave Player.
There is a requirement for this program to be used in PowerPoint 2010.Go to Adobe's website at https://get.adobe.com/shockwave and click on the download button.
