Walking is not an effective way to travel long distances as you progress through the game.It could be a better choice to sprint, but that depletes hunger bars. The obvious choice is to make a railway system.Rail systems can be very effective ways to travel through long distances.
Step 1: How long do you want your railway to be?
Your railway can be as long as you want it to be, but you need to know how many blocks it will traverse so that you can create rails.Try walking from point A to point B.This will make you aware of any obstacles in your way as well as help you plan out your route.
Step 2: Understand the components of a railway.
The "train" section of your railway is one of the four main items you'll use to create it.You will move from point A to point B.Your minecart will travel on basic rails. You can speed up your minecart with the rails activated by redstone. There are powered rails that don't have redstone. Each section of the rails has a power source. Not necessary for regular rails.
Step 3: The necessary resources should be gathered.
Six iron bars are required for each of the 16 rails that you want to make. You need five iron bars to make a minecart. You can make iron by using a furnace. You need one stick for each rail you want to make. One stick per lever and redstone torch is required.Adding two plank to the crafting table interface will allow you to craft four sticks. It was used to create powered rails.Six gold bars are required for each stack of rails you want to make. You can make gold by using a furnace. There are redstone blocks with an iron pickaxe. One cobblestone is required for each lever.
Step 4: You can open your table.
To open the crafting interface, face the table and select it.
Step 5: Make your minecart.
In the crafting table, put an iron bar in the top left, top right, center, and middle-right squares, then click or tab the minecart icon to move it to your inventory.
Step 6: The rails are craft.
Move the rails to your inventory by placing one iron bar in each of the squares in the crafting interface's far left and far right columns. If you want to create more than one set of rails, you can use the ingredients in this to do so.On console editions, scroll over to the "Redstone and Transportation" tab, select "Rails" option, and press or until you've created enough rails.
Step 7: The rails are powered by craft.
You will need less powered rails than regular rails. One gold bar, one stick, and one redstone should be placed in each of the squares in the crafting interface. The rails should be moved into your inventory. If you want to create more than one set of rails, you can use the ingredients in this to do so.To create rails on console editions, scroll to the "Redstone and Transportation" tab, select the option, and press or hold the button.
Step 8: You can make redstone torches.
Place an equal number of sticks and redstones in the bottom-middle and center squares of the crafting table, then move the torches to your inventory.
Step 9: The levers are craft.
Put cobblestone blocks and sticks in the bottom-middle and center squares of the crafting table, then move the levers to your inventory. You're ready to build your railway system.
Step 10: You should equip your rails.
The rails are at the bottom of the screen.
Step 11: Place your rails.
To place your rails, face the ground, right-click, tap, or press the left Trigger. You can go up and down hills. The main track will connect via a bend if you place a track at a 90-degree angle to it.
Step 12: Add powered rails.
You don't need long sections of these, but you should place them intermittently throughout the railway system to keep your cart moving. If you want your cart to go up a hill, this applies.
Step 13: Next to the rails, place redstone torches.
This will cause them to be activated permanently. If redstone isn't activated, powered rails will slow and eventually stop your minecart.14 connected powered rails will be powered by one redstone torch.
Step 14: You want to control the rails with levers.
If you want to stop at a specific point along the railway system, you can use a lever next to the rail.
Step 15: There is a block at the beginning and end of the rail.
It will prevent your minecart from flying off the rail.If you don't do this, your minecart will derail at the end of the rail and you'll have to create a new one.
Step 16: The minecart should be placed at the beginning of the rail.
Select the minecart in your equip bar, face the beginning of the rail, tap, or press the lefttrigger.
Step 17: You can hop into your minecart.
Pick your minecart to jump in.
Step 18: Press the "Forward" option if you face forward.
The default "Forward" action is pressing W on a computer and moving the left analog stick up on console editions. The minecart will move down the track. If you face the other way, you can reverse the minecart's direction.
