Step 1: Get your hands on a black jumpsuit.
A shiny black jumpsuit is the basis of many a Catwoman costume, and it is no different for Pfeiffer.Try to get a jumpsuit that zips up the front, with a high neckline and long sleeves.These type of jumpsuits are readily available at most costume or Halloween stores, or can be found online and purchased off eBay.If you don't have the time or money to buy a jumpsuit, you can use items already in your wardrobe.A tight pair of black jeans can be used for the pants.The top will be formed by a tight black turtleneck sweater.
Step 2: Stitch jagged white lines into the material.
Your are trying to recreate the look of Pfeiffer's Catwoman jumpsuit, which had white stitching all over.Pick up some white chalk and draw the jagged lines you want to create.Place them at random all over the suit, using a picture of the Catwoman costume from the movie for reference.Stitch over the white lines with a needle and a length of white thread.If you have time, you can use the white chalk to create the stitched effect or paint over the chalk with white-out.
Step 3: You can buy a Catwoman headpiece.

Step 5: Wear knee-high black boots.
You will need knee-high black boots with a killer heel to complete the look.You should give them a good polish before you wear them.

You have to be prepared to flash some flesh with this costume.If you can, find a bra or bustier that looks like Halle Berry's hardcore lingerie from the movie.Silk is the next best option if you can't find something suitable in those materials.If you have time before you actually need to wear the costume, why not work on achieving a flat stomach, the best accessory this costume could have!It's a good idea to wear a black, strappy bodysuit if you don't want to expose that much flesh.To get the claw-ravaged look, make sure you put some tears and rip in it as well.
Step 8: Wrap two black belts around your waist.
Halle Berry had a belt contraption that connected her bra straps to her pants.You can create a similar effect by wrapping two belts around your waist and crossing them over to form an "X" shape.Any kind of belts will do the job if the belts are made from canvas.
Step 9: You can buy a Catwoman headpiece.

Step 10: Wear open-toed shoes.
If you want to stay true to the movie, you should wear open-toed black shoes or boots with an average-sized heel.As long as the legs of the pants are worn over the shoes, they will do.
Step 11: A whip and gloves are needed.

Anne Hathaway portrayed Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises.It's sexiness isn't diminished by the simplicity of the Catwoman costumes.The black jumpsuit with zip up front is the basis of the costume.If you can, try to get a jumpsuit in a black color.If you can't get your hands on a jumpsuit, some tight black pants or leggings and a black zip-up or turtleneck sweater will do the trick.
Step 13: There is a wide black belt around the waist.
To imitate Catwoman's utility belt, a wide black belt should be worn around the waist.If you could get a real gun holster, that would be even better.
Step 14: Purchase a black mask for the cat.
Anne Hathaway's Catwoman does not wear a headpiece, but instead wears a black mask and headpiece with her hair loose on her back.She is similar to the Catwoman portrayed by Julie Newmar in Batman.A plain black mask, along with a headband or clips with cat ears, will work for this outfit.You can use black felt to make your own mask.Simply draw the outline of the mask onto the piece of felt, cut it out neatly, and attach a length of black elastic to either side to form a mask.If you want to make your own cat ears, you need to cut out two triangular-shaped pieces from some black cardstock, glue black PVC or felt fabric to both sides, and attach each ear to a black alligator clip.

The most eye-catching aspect of Catwoman's outfit are her thigh-high, black leather boots.It's great if you already have some in your wardrobe.To find the perfect pair, you may need to go to some shoes stores or websites.The heels should be at least 4 or 5 inches high.It depends on how true to the movie you want your costume to be, and knee-high black boots will do in pinch.
Step 17: There is a fake gun in this picture.
Anne Hathaway's Catwoman doesn't carry a whip, but she does have a gun.There is a fake black gun in the store.If you found a gun holster belt, you can keep it there.
Step 18: Straight hair is a must.
This look allows hair to be left loose, unlike the other costumes, where hair is tied back or tucked under the mask.Anne's hair had a lot of volume.If you want to achieve a similar effect, blow dry your hair and hold it upside down.The headband or clips can be used to remove hair from the face.
Step 19: The right foundation is what you should get.
When applying your favorite foundation, mix it with a little white face paint as Catwoman is usually pale.To create a flawless finish, blend it well and use a stippling brush.The foundation should be set with a translucent powder.You want to have dark circles under your eyes.
Step 20: The eyes are the most important thing.
