You can learn how to view your existing Gmail contacts, as well as add more from another email service.You can't find friends' email addresses on social media with Gmail.You will need a computer to view and import contacts, but any contacts you import will be applied to your Gmail mobile app.
Step 1: You can open Gmail.
You can find it in your computer's web browser.If you are logging in, this will open your inbox.When prompted, enter your email address and password.
Step 2: You can click on the "APPS" icon.
It's on the right side of the page.A menu will appear.
Step 3: Click Contacts.
This icon looks like a silhouette of a person on a blue background.You can open a list of your Gmail contacts.You can scroll down a page if you don't see it here.You'll find it.
Step 4: Look at your hard contacts.
These are contacts that have been added to your account.You can go back to this part of the Contacts list by clicking in the upper- left corner.
Step 5: Look at your common contacts.
If they aren't in your Contacts list, click in the upper- left side of the page to see a list of people you frequently talk to.
Step 6: Check with other people.
A list of people with whom you've conversed at least once in Gmail can be found in the left-hand sidebar.
Step 7: You can click more.
The Contacts page has it on the left side.Doing so will prompt a drop-down list of additional options.
Step 8: Click to import.
It is on the left side of the page.A window will open.
Step 9: You can choose an email service.
If you want to import Yahoo contacts, click one of the following options.If you want to import Microsoft Outlook contacts, click this option.If you want to import AOL contacts, click this option.If you want to import contacts from an email service that wasn't listed above, click this option.
Step 10: Let's go!, if you click I agree.
There is a pop-up window in the bottom-right corner.Your selected email service's information will be displayed in a new pop-up window.Before clicking this option, you should enter your email address and password for the email account.You can skip the last step of the method.
Step 11: You can click the Agree button.
You can find it at the bottom of the pop-up window.You can either click or here depending on your browser and email service.
Step 12: If you are prompted, sign into the email service.
In the pop-up window, enter your email and password if your browser doesn't remember them.
Step 13: Take a look at your imported contacts.
You'll be able to see the email service's name on the left side of the page if you choose to view them in a folder labeled with the day.The imported contacts will be added to the tab in the top left corner of the page.
