Pumpkins are popular in the United States during the fall.Pumpkin soup is a delicious way to participate in the pumpkin theme.If you are a beginner in the kitchen, pumpkin soup is very easy to make.All you have to do is boil the ingredients together, blend them in a food processor, and then serve it!
Step 1: The onions and garlic should be cooked in your butter.

Step 2: The pumpkin puree and spices should be included in the mix.
Put 15 fluid ounces of pumpkin puree into the pan before seasoning it.When you add the spices to the pan, spread them evenly throughout the mix.Continue to cook the mix until it is fragrant and steaming.You don't have to add any spices to the soup, but they give it a nice kick.There are many delicious spices to add to pumpkin soup.
Step 3: Bring the mix to a boil
To avoid it splashing all over the place, pour it at a slow and even pace.The mixture should take about 3-4 minutes to boil.Use a wooden spoon to stir the mix so that it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
Step 4: When the heat is low, let the mix cook for 30 minutes.
While you allow the mix to cook, leave the saucepan uncovered.Remove the saucepan from the heat and set it aside.The lowest dial setting on your burner is low heat.If you want your pumpkin soup to be extra sweet, you can add some maple syrup to it after you take it off the stove.
Step 5: If you want to puree soup, ladle 1 cup of soup into a blender.
If you want to avoid steam building up in your blender, let the soup cool for a few minutes.If you don't have an immersion blender, you can use a regular one.Before you blend the soup, pulse it 2 or 3 times.Pour it into another bowl once it is pureed.Blending the soup is important because it helps make your pumpkin soup creamy and nice to eat.Don't blend more than 1 cup of soup at a time to make a mess.
Step 6: Continue pureeing the soup 1 cup at a time until it is all blended.
You will need to puree the soup in about 3 different batches.You need to put the first batches in a separate bowl.
Step 7: Add seasonings when you add the heavy cream to the soup.
Use a wooden spoon to stir the heavy cream until it is completely incorporated into the soup.If you want to add more seasoning to your soup, taste it first.If you add a little salt and pepper to the soup after it has been pureed, you won't need to throw in any of the spices.
Step 8: Place the oven in it's preheat position.
You need to cook pumpkin seeds in an oven that is warm enough to bake them.The oven needs 15 minutes to preheat.
Step 9: Spread the bread or pumpkin seeds out on a tray.
If you want to make croutons, use bread cubes that are less than 1 cm long.All of the bread or seeds have been covered with a thin layer of oil if you lightly drizzle some olive oil over the tray.If the bread cubes or seeds are touching each other on the tray, make sure they are spread far apart.
Step 10: Prepare the seeds or croutons and bake them for 7 minutes.
Sprinkle salt and pepper over the tray.Put the tray in the oven and it will bake in 7 minutes.When the pumpkin seeds are golden brown or when the croutons are brown, take the tray back out.You can season the bread with cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar.
Step 11: It's a good idea to add a few things to your pumpkin soup.
If you don't want to use them immediately, store your pumpkin seeds in a container in the fridge.It will stay fresh for up to 3 days.
