You can modify and remove filters on Yahoo!

After setting up your filters on Yahoo!You might want to make some changes to them or permanently remove them.Either something has changed in a particular group of e-mails or you don't need a filter anymore.To learn how to remove filters, scroll down to the first part.

Step 1: You can log in to your Yahoo!Mail account.

You can fill in your Yahoo! account at http://mail.Yahoo.com.Click on the purple button if you don't have a password.You will be brought to your inbox after logging in.

Step 2: You can go to settings.

There is a gear icon next to your name on the screen.Click on it and then use the settings.The settings window will open.

Step 3: You can go to Filters.

You can click on the filters from the left panel.You can see all your filters on the right.Refer to this article to create one if you don't already have one.

Step 4: A filter is available to view.

Click on the one you want to select from the list.The filters rules will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Step 5: Pick a filter.

Click on the one you want to edit to find the list of existing filters.The chosen filter will be highlighted.

Step 6: A filter should be edited.

Three buttons are above the list of filters.To enter the modification screen, click on the "Edit" button.

Step 7: The filter's name should be changed.

The Filter Name is the first field.You can change the name of your filter in this field.The filter name should be unique.It should be short but descriptive.

Step 8: The rule should be changed.

The first rule is for the sender.Select the condition from the drop-down list and input the value that will be checked against it.This would be the e-mail address of the sender.

Step 9: The recipient rule should be changed.

The Recipient is the second rule.The condition can be selected from the drop-down list with options of contains, does not contain, begins with, and ends with.The value will be checked against the selected condition.The list of people that will receive the e-mails can be included by the recipient.Your name and e-mail address are always included.

Step 10: Change the subject rule.

The subject is the third rule.The condition can be selected from the drop-down list.The value will be checked against the selected condition.The subject is the title of the e-mail.

Step 11: The E-mail body rule can be changed.

The last rule is for the E-mail body.The condition can be selected from the drop-down list.The value would be checked against the selected condition.The entire contents of the e-mail body will be checked here.

Step 12: The destination folder can be changed.

Your Yahoo! has a drop-down list.The destination folder is where the e-mails that matched all the filters rules will be sent.

Step 13: The filter needs to be saved

You can save the changes to the filter by clicking on the blue button.

Step 14: You can use a filter.

Click on the one you want to remove from the list.The chosen filter will be highlighted.

Step 15: A filter can be deleted.

Three buttons are above the list of filters.Click on the button to remove the filter.There won't be a confirmation message.Right away, your selected filter would be deleted, if you click on the remove button.You would need to recreate the entire filter after it has been deleted if you want to do that.
