Step 1: Go to the store on the computer.
The app has a musical note on it.Do not click if you're prompted to.During this process, you'll need to restart your computer.

Step 7: Click Restore.
It is on the right side of the page.Doing so will prompt your phone to back up.First, enter the password if your backup is password protected.It is possible that you will need to update your software before you can restore your phone.
Step 8: Wait for your restore to finish.
You should be able to view deleted text messages in the Messages app, which is the green app with a white speech bubble icon.
Step 9: You can open your settings on your phone.
The app is grey and has gears on it.You will most likely find it on the Home Screen.You might want to make sure you have an iCloud backup before you erase and restore.To do so, you need to tap the Apple ID name at the top of the "Settings" page.If there is a backup date listed here, you can restore an iCloud backup.
Step 10: Click General if you want to scroll down.

Step 14: You can erase the phone twice.

Step 15: Wait for your phone to finish wiping it clean.
The process will take a while.You'll be able to select a backup once it's finished.
Step 16: Press the Home button.

Step 17: Go through the initial setup steps for your phone.
Select a language and region to connect to a wi-fi network.
Step 18: When prompted, tap Restore from iCloud Backup.
You can install a backup from your account with this option.
Step 19: You need to enter your Apple ID email address and password.
You need the same credentials to download music or apps.
Step 20: Choose a backup.
It is in the middle of the screen.
Step 21: If you have a backup date, tap it.
It's important to remember that your desired texts were still on your phone when you selected the date.
Step 22: Wait for your restore to finish.
You should be able to see your deleted texts in the Messages app once the restore is complete.
