You can seed a fruit.

After opening your pomegranate, the next step is seeding it.If you've never opened a pomegranate, seed removal can be difficult. You can seed a pomegranate easily if you know what techniques to use.The method you choose is up to you.

Step 1: You can open your fruit.

Remove the crown from the pomegranate by placing it on a cutting board. You can slice your pomegranate after you have removed the crown. You won't be able to slice through the seeds. The ridges separate the sections. After removing the crown, you can see them from the top.One set of sections goes from the top down to the side.To open the pomegranate, slice through both of them.

Step 2: The open pomegranate needs to be pulled apart.

After you cut through the ridges, your pomegranate will be a star shape. The slices will be attached to the center.Prepare to remove the seeds by pulling apart each side.

Step 3: Use your hands to remove the arils.

Use your fingers to remove the arils from the skin.

Step 4: The arils should be in a container.

If you don't eat all the seeds at once, you can keep them in a sealed container in the fridge for up to three days.

Step 5: Take a bowl of water.

The water should be chilled before you prepare the pomegranate. The looser the arils are, the colder the temperature is.If you chill the water with ice, remove any ice cubes.

Step 6: You need to score your fruit into four quarters.

The pomegranate's top needs to be cut off.Cut it into quarters. They should soak for the same amount of time every quarter. Before you score the fruit, make sure your knife is sharp.Dull knives are more dangerous than regular knives. You will get a better cut with a sharp knife.

Step 7: The quarters should be soaked in the water.

The best way to get the best results is to keep the pomegranate submerged. As it gets colder, your pomegranate will be easier to seed.

Step 8: Pull off the red outer skin with your fingers.

Remove the outer skin from the bowl by exposing the arils.A trash can is a good place to discard skin.

Step 9: Remove the seeds from the skin.

For easier seeding, keep the quarters submerged.Don't let the seeds out of the skin. The pomegranate skin should be discarded after you separated the seeds from the skin. The skin should be easy to remove. You should wash the seeds before eating.

Step 10: Put the seeds in a bowl.

The seeds should be dry for five minutes.

Step 11: Cut your fruit in half.

Cut the pomegranate into two equal halves with a sharp knife. You don't have to be precise, but try.Stand both halves on the counter.

Step 12: The pomegranate halves should be hit with a wooden spoon.

Continue until the seeds fall out.Remove the seeds from the pomegranate at the same time.Three or four whacks is enough for most pomegranates. If your seeds are stuck, hit harder or use a larger spoon.

Step 13: Use a smaller spoon to dig out remaining arils.

Most seeds should be removed after you have whacked the halves. If you want to remove remaining seeds, use a smaller spoon.
