How To Change Your Profile Picture on Facebook

You can change your Facebook profile picture using both the mobile app and the website.If you don't want to use a profile picture for a long time, consider setting a temporary picture.

Step 1: You can open Facebook.

The Facebook app icon looks like a white "f" on a dark blue background.If you are logging in, this will open your News Feed.If you don't have a password, enter your email address.

Step 2: The icon is called "Profile".

There is an icon at the bottom of the screen.You can open your profile page by doing that.If you don't see this icon, you can tap in the bottom-right corner of the screen to see a menu with your name at the top.

Step 3: Your profile picture can be tapped.

You can find it at the top of the profile page.Clicking on it will prompt a pop-up menu.

Step 4: Select a picture.

It is in the menu.

Step 5: Take a new photo.

You can take a picture of yourself by using the camera icon in the top-right corner of the screen and the "Capture" button at the bottom.If you want to use an existing photo for your profile picture, tap in the top-right corner of the album's section if you need to, and scroll down until you find the photo you're looking for.

Step 6: Use the tap to save.

There is an option in the top right corner of the screen.You change your profile picture to your new one.If you want to change your profile picture, you need to tap below it.You can add a themed frame to your profile image by tapping and selecting the frame you want to use.

Step 11: Take a new picture.

You can take a picture of yourself using the "Capture" button at the bottom of the screen if you tap the camera icon in the upper left side.If you want to use a profile photo, you can either tap one of the photos on the tab or the other tabs at the top of your screen.

Step 12: Use a tap.

It is in the right corner of the screen.The photo will be set as your profile picture.If you want to change your profile picture, you need to tap in the lower left side of the screen.You can add a themed frame to your profile image by tapping and selecting the frame you want to use.

Step 13: You can open Facebook.

You can go to Facebook in your browser.If you are logging in, this will open your News Feed.Before proceeding, you need to enter your email address and password.

Step 14: Click on the thumbnail.

It's to the right of the search bar, next to your name.

Step 15: You can hover the pointer over your picture.

There is an option to appear on the profile image.

Step 16: Click on the picture you want to update.

At the bottom of your profile picture, you should see this.

Step 17: Pick a photo.

You can either select a photo from your existing Facebook photos or you can upload a new one.To see more images in the album, click to the right of each section of the photos.You can add a new photo by clicking at the top of the pop-up window.

Step 18: You can adjust your photo.

If necessary, do one or both of the following: drag the photo to the frame.The size of the image can be increased or decreased by using the sliders at the bottom.

Step 19: Click to save.

It is in the bottom left corner of the window.Your new profile picture will be set by this.
