It's easy to connect your Hotmail messages to your Outlook e-mail client.It allows you to take all your Hotmail e-mails and let you send, receive, and read them.You don't have to connect to the Internet to access your files.Go to part 1 if you want to connect your Outlook to Hotmail.
Step 1: You can start by clicking on Start.
The lower left corner of the task bar has a Windows orb.There is a blue circular orb with the windows icon inside.
Step 2: In the search bar, type in Microsoft Outlook.
Step 3: From the results, click on Microsoft Outlook to open it.
Step 4: Start the wizard.
The start-up wizard should start when launching Outlook.The next button is at the lower right of the start-up window.
Step 5: The next screen has a circle next to it.
When Outlook asks if you want to set up an e-mail account, do this.Click again to go to the next page.
Step 6: There is a check box at the lower left of the next screen.
Click the next one.
Step 7: Click on it.
You should be able to set up the e-mail account you want if you select the Microsoft Office Outlook Connector.
Step 8: The first address field is where you should enter your Hotmail e-mail address.
Step 9: The key is in your password.
Step 10: Click on the name you want to assign for the account.
For example, marketing, school, and so on.If you check "Remember my password" you will be able to log in again later.
Step 11: Click the button.
When Outlook informs you that it will only apply when Outlook is restarted, click "OK" again.The setup will be finished at this point.
Step 12: The Outlook Connector should be upgraded.
Outlook will let you know if the Connector needs to be upgraded.It is important that you have the most recent features on the Outlook connector.If you want to use Outlook right away, you can select "Remind me later"Outlook will remind you if you upgrade later.You can still read, send, and receive e-mails on your Hotmail account through Outlook, but you will be missing out on new features if your connector isn't up-to-date.An installation wizard will guide you through the setup process if you upgrade.Outlook will prompt you to click "OK" when it closes.
Step 13: Click on the box that says "I accept the terms".
The button below it will be activated.
Step 14: Click "Install" to begin the upgrade.
The following screens have all the default configurations that you shouldn't worry about.Wait for the installation to finish and you will see a progress bar.
Step 15: Press the last button to finish the installation.
Step 16: To restart the program, repeat steps in launching Microsoft Outlook.
You should see the Hotmail account name in the Outlook inbox at this time.
Step 17: You can click onMail at the left panel.
The Outlook calendar should show up on its own.On the left panel, a tick box should be under Outlook Calendar with the name of the Hotmail account you set.The Outlook calendar tab should be beside the Hotmail calendar if you tick the box.
