You can learn how to download a file copy of your Outlook contacts.You can either do it from the Outlook email website or the Microsoft Outlook program.
Step 1: You can open the Outlook.
You can go tooutlook.com in your web browser.If you're already signed into Outlook, this will open your inbox.If you aren't signed into Outlook, you need to log in with your Microsoft email address or phone number.
Step 2: You can click on the "People" icon.
There are two silhouettes in the lower left corner of Outlook.You can open your Outlook Contacts page by doing that.
Step 3: Click to manage.
There is a tab near the top of the page.
Step 4: Click to export contacts.
It's in the menu.
Step 5: You can check the "All contacts" option.
Beneath the "Which contacts do you want to export?" is a circle that says "All contacts."headingYou can choose your preferred file format if you see more than one format under the "Select a format to export" heading.
Step 6: Click on the option to export.
It is at the top of the sidebar.If you do that, your contacts file will be downloaded to your computer.You will need to confirm the download or choose a save location.
Step 7: You can open the outlook.
The Outlook icon looks like a blue and white envelope with a white "O" on it.
Step 8: Click on the file.
It is in the Outlook window.Doing so will prompt a pop-out menu.
Step 9: Click on the option to open and export.
There is a tab at the top of the menu.
Step 10: Click to export.
Under the "Open" heading on the right side of the page, you'll see this option.
Step 11: Select the file to be exported to.
The Import and Export Wizard window is in the middle of a box.
Step 12: Click next.
It is at the bottom of the window.
Step 13: Click Comma Separated Values again.
You will be taken to the folder selection page.
Step 14: Click next to select the "Contacts" folder.
The "Contacts" folder is located in the "Select folder to export from" window.You may have to scroll down to find this option.The "Contacts" folder should be under your Outlook account name.
Step 15: Click to go to the next page.
Next to the current file destination is this.It opens a window.
Step 16: Click OK if you want to enter your file's name.
The next page will take you there.
Step 17: Click next to select an export destination.
You can save your contacts by clicking a folder.If you plan on uploading contacts to another service immediately after you export them, the desktop is a good place.
Step 18: Click Finish to finish.
It is at the bottom of the window.The progress window will close when your contacts finish exporting.
Step 19: You can open the Outlook.
The Outlook icon looks like a blue and white envelope with an "O" on it.
Step 20: Click on the file.
The menu item is on the left side of the screen.
Step 21: Click on the option to export.
Step 22: Click Continue if you don't want to check everything.
Step 23: You can save the contacts by selecting a location and clicking Save.
Step 24: Click to finish.
It is at the bottom of the window.The progress window will close when your contacts finish exporting.
