TikTok is a video-sharing social media platform that has exploded in popularity.It has a large library of music and sounds and an easy-to-use video editing system that allows users to create short, creative videos with music, sound effects, and visual effects.TikTok can be used to film, edit, and publish a music video.
Step 1: To record a video, open TikTok and tap +.
It is at the bottom of the home page.The filming interface is brought up by doing that.
Step 2: There are sounds that you can tap.
It is at the top of the screen.This opens the Sounds menu.Many popular artists are included in the library of music on TikTok.If you're new to TikTok, you may need to give the app permission to use your microphone and camera.Give it permission with a tap.
Step 3: In the search bar, type in the artist's name.
At the top of the screen is the search bar.A list of search results from TikTok's library will be displayed.One of the recommended songs is on the Sounds menu.
Step 4: The checkmark is next to a song.
The music clip is uploaded to the video editor.
Step 5: If you want to, tap 15s or 60s.
It is at the bottom of the screen.You can choose how long of a video you want to make.You can either make a 15-second or 60-second video.You can only use 15 seconds of music in many popular songs.You can choose which 15 seconds you want to use from the larger section of the song.
Step 6: There is a tap Trim.
The icon looks like a pair of music notes with scissors.There is a side menu to the right.You can choose which portion of the song you want to use.
Step 7: To change the starting point, tap and drag the music at the bottom.
Your song will start playing.As the music progresses, the lines that look like a sound wave will turn blue.To change the starting point of a song, tap and drag the lines at the bottom of the screen.When you stop dragging the song will start.You can hear where the beginning of the song is.
Step 8: There is a pink checkmark icon.
There is a pink icon in the lower right corner.The song sample will be selected at your starting point.
Step 9: The camera should be aimed at the subject.
Your subject can be anyone that you want to film.The lower-right corner is where you can put the video you recorded from your phone Gallery or Camera roll.If the video is more than 60 seconds long, you will need to tap and drag the Video at the bottom of the screen to find the section you want to use.
Step 10: The front and back cameras should be switched on.
You can switch between the camera on the front and back of your phone with the icon that resembles two arrows.It is at the top of the menu on the right.You can use your forward-facing camera to take a selfies.The back-facing camera can be used to take scenic shots.
Step 11: The video needs to be sped up.
An interesting effect can be added by changing the video's speed.It is possible to make your video feel light and energetic by filming fast.It is possible to make your videos seem more dramatic by filming in slow motion.The icon on the right resembles a speedometer and can be used to change the video's speed.One of the speed options is above the record button.Slowing down the video recording to 1/3 normal speed is one of the options you have.To slow your video recording down, tap.Leave it at normal speed.To record at double normal speed, tap.You can record at three times normal speed.
Step 12: You can add effects to your video.
Many interactive and animated effects can be used with TikTok.You can add fire to your face, add rain to a scene, club lighting, or a different background, just to name a few examples.To add effects to your video, tap the icon in the lower left corner.The different categories of effects can be browsed using tabs at the top of the effects list.To use it, tap one of the effect icons.To see the effect, watch the video feed on your phone.To cancel effects, tap the icon that looks like a circle with a line through it.To close the effects list, tap the video feed.
Step 13: You can add filters to your video.
The way your camera processes light can be changed.They can change the mood of a scene.To add filters to your video, tap in the menu to the right.There is an icon with three circles.To view filters by category, tap the tabs above the preview icons.There are preview icons at the bottom.You can preview the filter by looking at your camera view.To exit the Filters menu, tap the video screen.
Step 14: Turn Beauty Mode on or off.
Beauty Mode adds some color to your video.To turn on or off Beauty Mode, tap the icon in the menu to the right.It has an icon that looks like a wand.
Step 15: You can add a timer.
You might need to get in position before the video starts.If you are filming yourself.A few seconds before the video starts recording give you time to get in position.You can add a timer by tapping in the menu to the right.It has an icon that looks like a timer.You can use the lower-right corner to select a 3-second or 10-second timer.The red bar says at the bottom to start.Your video will start filming when the count reaches zero.
Step 16: The record button is at the bottom.
There is a large red button at the bottom of the screen.Your video will start recording.While the music plays you can either dance, lip-sync, or play an instrument.It can be as long as 60 seconds.The blue bar at the top of the screen shows how much video time you have left.You can hold the record button and tap it.When you release the record button, the video will stop recording.If you want to zoom in, drag the record button up the screen.
Step 17: To stop recording, tap the button.
The Record button turns into a square when you start recording.To stop recording, tap the square button.The blue bar is still at the top of the screen when you stop recording.If you haven't used the entire 60 seconds in your video, you can tap the record button again to add another video.Adding multiple scenes and transitions to a video is a great way to do this.
Step 18: To remove the previous clip, tap X.
You don't always get it right on the first shot when filming a music video.That's alright.If you need to redo the shoot, tap the arrow with an "x" in it in the lower-right corner and then remove the previous clip.To try again, tap the record button.
Step 19: You can preview your video by tapping.
There is a checkmark in the lower-right corner.This shows you a preview of your video.
Step 20: There are more sounds in your video.
To add sound effects or change your music, tap in the lower- left corner.If you want to open the Sounds menu, tap one of the suggested sounds.The volume of the sounds or your original clip can be adjusted with a tap at the bottom of your screen.
Step 21: You can add more effects to your video.
You can add some effects after you finish filming, just like you were able to do during the filming process.There are some effects that can only be applied after you finish filming, but there aren't as many options.You can add additional effects to your video by tapping in the lower-right corner.You can browse effects by category by using the tabs at the bottom of the screen.You can drag the white line to where you want the effect to start.You can add the effect by holding an effect icon at the bottom of the screen.As long as you want the effect to last, hold it down.Go to the upper-right corner.
Step 22: Text can be added to your video.
TikTok has a lot of popular features.The text on the screen says what it means to you, while the lyrics say one thing.It is possible to decide when the text appears and disappears.Tap in the lower-right corner to add text to your video.To select one of the fonts, tap it above your on-screen keyboard.To change the color of your fonts, tap one of the dots.You can tap the icon with the four lines above the keyboard to change the alignment of the fonts.The capital "A" icon above the keyboard can be used to change the text style.To add text, use your keyboard.When you're done typing, tap in the upper-right corner.You can drag the text to where you want it to go in your video.The text is in the middle of the screen.You can tap.To control when text starts and stops in your video, drag the red bars at the beginning and end of the timeline.The checkmark icon can be found in the lower-right corner.
Step 23: You can add stickers to your video.
Tap in the lower-right corner to add stickers to your video.To switch between the two, tap the tab at the top.You can add a sticker to your video.You can drag it to the location you want.
Step 24: For text and stickers, set a duration.
You don't want text and stickers to appear on-screen for the entire video when you add them.It is possible to set the duration of text and stickers.You can control how long they stay on-screen.The following steps are used to set the duration of stickers and text.There is a tap.The red bar on the left side of the timeline is where you want the text or sticker to appear.The red bar at the bottom of the screen is where you want the text or sticker to disappear.To preview the video, tap the play triangle icon above the timeline.The checkmark icon can be found in the lower-right corner.
Step 25: Filters can be added to your video.
It's possible to make a video look better by using filters.When you finish recording, the filters are the same as before.If you decide your video needs a little extra flair, you should have them available after you finish filming.You can add an additional filter to your video by tapping in the upper-right corner.The icon has three circles.To browse filters by category, tap one of the tabs above the icons.The preview icons are at the bottom.You can preview the filter by looking at your camera view.To exit the Filters menu, tap the video that you want to watch.
Step 26: There is a voice in your video.
You don't need to rely on the music and sounds provided by TikTok.You can add voice effects to your recordings even after you've recorded them.To add a voice over to your video, tap the icon that resembles a microphone in the upper-right corner.The white line is at the bottom of the video timeline.The record button is at the bottom of the screen.Speak or record a sound.The stop icon is at the bottom of the screen.To save the narration, tap in the upper-right.
Step 27: A voice effect can be added.
If you want to add a voice effect, you have to record a voiceover.To add a voice effect to your voice, tap in the menu to the right.There are voice effects listed at the bottom.To exit the voice effects menu, tap the video to play.
Step 28: Next, tap.
Once you have finished editing your video, tap in the lower-right corner to begin uploading it to TikTok.
Step 29: You can type a description of your video.
You are only allowed 150 characters in your description.It's important to keep your description short and allow plenty of room for the hashtags.
Step 30: The description can be added with the tap of the #Hashtag.
If you want to make it easier to find your video, you can add a few words to it.To add a hashtag, tap below your video description and type the word you want to add.Add relevant and descriptive terms to your video.As much as possible.You can use this to get your video seen by other TikTok users.
Step 31: To tag your friends, tap on them.
There is a video description at the top.If you want your friends to see the video, you can use this.You can add the friend's name after the "@" symbol.
Step 32: The video's privacy settings should be set.

Step 34: Allow people to duet or not.
When other TikTok users use your video to do a side-by-side reaction or duet in their own video, it's called duet and react.It's a great way for TikTok artists to work together.If you want to allow other users to duet or react to your video, tap the switch next to it.
Step 35: Allow or prevent people from Stitching your video.
Stitch allows other TikTok users to use part of your video in their own video.Users can use your video as part of their own video by reacting to it.To allow other users to stitch your video, tap the switch next to " Allow Stitch".
Step 36: You can save a copy of the video to your phone.
TikTok will save a copy of the video on your phone.If you don't want to save a copy of the video, tap the "Save to device" switch.
Step 37: You can post your video to social media.
Attach a video to a new post on either platform by tapping the icon at the bottom.
Step 38: There is a tap post.
The pink button is at the bottom.Your video is posted to TikTok.
