You can access your calls hands-free with Ford's new technology that allows you to sync your phone with the car audio system.If you need to make calls while driving, you will no longer have to manually open your phone.If you ask Ford SYNC to call your contact, it will place the call on its system.
Step 1: Make sure your phone, car, and radio are turned on.
If one of these is off, you won't be able to pair your phone with Ford SYNC.Refer to the user's manual for help with the power switch for your radio/SYNC system.
Step 2: You can open the settings on your phone.
You can find the gear icon on the home screen.The settings menu on your phone will open.
Step 3: Select General.
The gear icon on the General menu option will open the general settings of your device.
Step 4: Turn the device on.
You can find it from the General settings options.You can access the menu by tapping it.There is a switch on the next screen that should be turned off.If you want your device to be discoverable, slide the switch to ON.It will search for devices to pair with.Continue with the next steps, but don't exit the menu.
Step 5: The phone button can be pressed.
The phone icon on the wheel or dashboard is where the button is usually located.SYNC will look for a phone to pair with.If it finds your phone, it will display a 6-digit code on the screen and you can skip the next step if you don't want to.
Step 6: You can add your phone from the SYNC menu.
You can find the option to add your phone by pressing the Seek buttons on SYNC.
Step 7: On your phone, choose "SYNC"
To refresh the search for devices to pair with, tap on the bar below the name of the device.You will be asked for a PIN when you tap it.
Step 8: The 6-digit PIN is provided by SYNC.
Press the button at the top of the screen to pair.SYNC will tell you on its screen that your phone is connected.
Step 9: The phone should be the primary.
If you want to make the currently connected phone the primary phone, you'll have to answer the SYNC question.Use the Seek buttons if you want to find the "Yes" option.To enter your choice, press the OK button again.If you don't want to make the phone primary, just use the Seek buttons and press OK.
Step 10: You can sync your contacts.
You can download your contacts now.If you tell SYNC the contact's name, you will be able to call them.When SYNC asks you to set automatic phonebook download to ON, use the Seek buttons and press "OK" again.
Step 11: Attach your phone to SYNC.
Attach your device to SYNC with theusb cable that came with it.The media dashboard of your Ford car has ausb port on it.Refer to the user's manual if you are unsure.
Step 12: Music can be launched on your phone.
Once connected, locate the Music app on your phone.
Step 13: Listen to some music.
You can play the song in the Music app.You can start playing the music on your screen by opening the file.
Step 14: It should be possible to sync it with Ford SYNC.
You can see the icon at the bottom of the page.The Music app can be connected to Ford SYNC.If you tap on the menu, you will be able to connect your phone to the sync feature.You can play your music on the Ford system.
