Join groups on Facebook.

You can join a group on both the mobile app version of Facebook and the website.Local yard sales or a music genre are examples of groups.The only way to join a secret group is by being invited by an existing member.

Step 1: It's a good idea to open up Facebook.

The dark blue background has a white "f" on it.If you log in, Facebook will open your News Feed.If you don't already have a password, enter your email address and phone number.

Step 2: The bar has a search option.

It is at the top of the screen.This will open the device's keyboard.

Step 3: You can enter a group name or a word.

You can type in a group's name or a word or phrase you're interested in.You can search for accounts, pages, places, and groups on Facebook.

Step 4: You can tap groups.

There is a tab near the top of the screen.You will be able to see any groups related to your search.To display the option, you may have to use the row of tabs to the left.

Step 5: Next to a group, tap join.

There is a button on the right side of the group's name.The "Requested" stamp will appear to the right of the group if it is tapped.You can post in the group once you're accepted by the administrator.You will be able to see the group's posts, but not interact with them.

Step 6: Go to Facebook.

Go to Facebook.If you are a member of Facebook, this will open your News Feed.If you don't have a password, you can enter it in the top-right side of the page.

Step 7: You can click on the bar.

There is a field at the top of the page.

Step 8: You can enter a group name or a term.

Click the magnifying glass icon on the right side of the search bar if you want to join a group with a related word or phrase.

Step 9: You can click groups.

It's on the right side of the page.You will be able to see any groups related to your search.

Step 10: Next to a group, click Join.

Clicking it will send a request to the group's moderator.You'll be able to post in the group once you're approved to join.You will be able to see the group's posts, but not interact with them.
