If you drink rosehip tea regularly during the cold months it will help you avoid a cold.During the autumn months, roses are ideal for harvesting and storing so they can be used in tea and other preparations during the winter.
Step 1: Bring the kettle of water to a boil.
Make sure you have enough water to make as many cups of tea as you want.Carefully pour the water into a heatproof bowl after it has been boiled.How much water you have boiled will affect the size of the bowl.
Step 2: Take a few dried rosehips.
The rosehips should be placed in the water.The water needs to completely cover the rosehips.If you find that it doesn't, either boil and add more hot water or use a spoon to push the rosehips down to the bottom of the bowl.
Step 3: The water should be steep for 10–15 minutes.
Do not cover the bowl.
Step 4: Carefully pour the tea into the cups.
The water will be cool if you drink the tea immediately.
Step 5: Pick the fruit.
After the first frosts, do this.
Step 6: The rosehips should be washed and dried.
The top and tail of each rosehip should be removed.
Step 7: Cut each in half.
All of the seeds need to be removed.
Step 8: The rosehip halves should be placed on a baking sheet or tray.
Step 9: If you want to bake, place it in a cool oven.
It is appropriate to have a temperature around 120oC.
Step 10: When the rosehips have dried completely, remove them from the oven.
Step 11: You can blend or process to a fine texture.
Transfer the dried rosehips to a container.
Step 12: The dried rosehip mixture can be used for each cup of tea.
Step 13: There is a tea leaf holder.
You can put it in the mug or cup.
Step 14: Put boiling water in it.
Remove the tea leaf holder after 5 to 7 minutes of steeping.If you add it straight, strain the tea out of the cup.
Step 15: Immediately serve it.
If needed, add a small amount of honey.
