There is an updated light kit for the DeWalt XPS light system.
Light shadow technology casts a shadow over the saw blade to define the cut area and how wide it will be.The XPS light doesn't need to be aligned or adjusted.The saws are the same but the equipment is different.The DWS780 can be as much as 50% more expensive because of this feature.You can save hundreds of dollars and install the light upgrade kit for the DWS779 in a few minutes.
The light itself, an on/off switch, a new handle assembly and a free wiring harness are included in the upgrade kits.We make the wiring harnesses for the DWS779 in-house so you know you'll have everything you need to complete the upgrade.
