Is squat everyday a good program?
Ultimately, squatting every day isn't necessarily a bad thing, and the risk of overuse injuries is low. However, you want to make sure you're working other muscle groups, too. Focusing solely on your lower body can set you up for muscle imbalances — and nobody wants that.

What does squatting everyday do?
“Daily squats will help you mentally and will even give you better yearly check-ups with your primary physician.” The most obvious benefit of squats is building your leg muscles quadriceps, hamstrings, and calves. Squats, and all of their variations, are a great exercise for the whole body.
What is the Squatober program?
Squatober is known as “the world's largest knee-bending party,” and consists of squatting 5–6 times per week for the entirety of the month of October. Crazy, right? Crazy awesome! The program is written and was originally created by Aaron Ausmus, NCAA D1 shot put champion and strength and conditioning coach.
How do you prepare for a Squatober?
- Lift the bar to create a “shelf” for the bar using the upper back and shoulder muscles. Novice athletes can have trouble balancing the bar whether in a low or high bar position.
- Hold the chest up and out.
- Look forward or tilt the head slightly up.
